As the new Weathervane Senior Living community prepares to open in 2026, two leaders are already defining its culture of care and connection: Executive Director Nicole Groff and Sales Director Vicki Kriczky.

Together, Groff and Kriczky each bring more than three decades of experience and a shared belief that senior living should be vibrant, fulfilling and family-centered. Their leadership reflects Weathervane Senior Living’s mission to create communities where residents, families and team members all thrive together.

“We embrace a new kind of senior living,” Groff said. “Our residents will move into a state-of-the-art, vibrant community where they will feel connected, their families will feel confident, and our team members will feel fulfilled.”

A Team Built on Heart
"},"id":"24a47106-1efd-4e14-b6e7-f50db68f643c","isHidden":false,"type":"text_block"},{"content":{"im_image":["file://jvkjooazz2tzhljq"],"im_width":"half","im_caption":"Nicole Groff (left), Vicki Kriczky (right)"},"id":"c2450a08-d59b-4cf1-a227-ab23a55166e8","isHidden":false,"type":"image_block"},{"content":{"tb_text":"
For Groff, leadership begins with people. Those who call the community home and those who make that home possible every day.

“We believe that great care begins with a great team,” said Groff, whose 34 years of experience in healthcare and senior living includes a background in social work and Skilled Nursing.

Her previous experience in Skilled Nursing included admissions, discharge planning and psychosocial care that focused on residents’ well-being. Groff earned a certificate in Gerontology and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner who has spent the past 18 years working in Personal Care and Memory Care.

“Our leadership team at The Residence at Boyertown will focus on improving the lives of our senior residents as well as the lives of our team members who are dedicated to providing quality care,” Groff said.

That team-first approach resonates deeply with Kriczky, whose career in healthcare spans 33 years. She has worked in Continuing Care Retirement Communities, Independent Living, Personal Care, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, helping seniors and families navigate life’s next chapter with warmth and understanding.

She’s resided in the Boyertown area for almost 30 years and has been an active community member. Kriczky currently serves on the Berks-Mont Business Association Board and she is also an active participant in the area chambers and networking groups.

“My passion has always been about improving the lives of seniors,” Kriczky said. “What I enjoy most is helping people move into a community where they can live with joy, have friends around and do things they may not have been able to do before.”

Life, Connection, and Joy

For Kriczky, connection doesn’t stop once someone chooses The Residence at Boyertown. It deepens.

“When families move in, I don’t just see them at the door. We connect,” she said. “We’re doing fun events in the community. Weathervane Senior Living’s philosophy is that the team will be engaged with residents because it’s about family. We want residents to feel comfortable and have fun. As we get older, life doesn’t end. It begins differently.”

That spirit of engagement and renewal will be woven into daily life at The Residence at Boyertown, which will feature Independent Living, Personal Care and Memory Care options within a flexible, beautifully designed environment.

A New Chapter for Boyertown

The three-story, approximately 131,000-square-foot community will include 126 apartments — 54 for Independent Living, 50 for Personal Care, and 22 for Memory Care. Residents will enjoy month-to-month leases and access to multiple levels of care, allowing them to transition smoothly as their needs change — all while remaining in the same familiar, supportive environment.

Once fully staffed, The Residence at Boyertown will create approximately 100 new jobs in Colebrookdale Township. Located off Montgomery Avenue at Swamp Creek and Moser Lane, it will offer convenient access to local amenities and serve as a new hub for senior living in Berks County.

A Shared Mission Across Weathervane

The Residence at Boyertown joins a growing family of Weathervane Senior Living communities, including The Residence at Village Greens and The Residence at Carlisle. Across all locations, the mission remains the same — to build communities where people feel they belong.

“We’re not just building senior living communities,” said Terri Sanelli, Regional Director of Operations for Weathervane Senior Living. “We’re creating places where everyone belongs, grows and thrives together. That’s the culture we’re proud of, and that’s the mission we live by. The Residence at Boyertown and its leadership team build on these principles.”

With leaders such as Nicole Groff and Vicki Kriczky at the helm, The Residence at Boyertown is set to deliver quality care and offer a place where residents can live fully, families can feel confident, and team members can find purpose.

For more information, contact Vicki Kriczky, Sales Director, The Residence at Boyertown, at vkriczky@weathervanesl.com or call 484.783.0310.
"},"id":"e561aa05-1f0e-4a15-babf-797db7067673","isHidden":false,"type":"text_block"}]
